The Belly Bandit Upsie Belly® Band is designed to provide extra support during pregnancy by gently lifting and redistributing the weight of your growing belly. This extra lift helps bring much needed relief to aching back muscles, while the secure fit around your hips can reduce pelvic pain by limiting mobility of your pelvic joints. It also includes a hot/cold gel pack to help soothe the strained muscles in your back.
The Upsie Belly® belly band is ideal for women who are experiencing the common back aches, pelvic pain, and general discomfort associated with supporting a growing uterus. Help lessen the strain of pregnancy on your body and maintain muscle strength by using an Upsie Belly® to distribute the weight of your growing stomach and give your back a rest.
You can start wearing the Upsie Belly® band as soon as you feel like you need the extra support! Some women’s bellies grow very quickly, while others may not feel the added pressure of an expanding belly until the end of their pregnancy. Belly Bandit’s Upsie Belly® is designed with 12” of adjustability so you can have support throughout your entire pregnancy.
Very comfortable! The Upsie Belly® Maternity Support Band is covered with ultra-soft viscose from bamboo fabric. Featuring SecureStretch™ that molds perfectly to your body, it has up to 12” of adjustability. Top it off with our anti-dig closure and an added back pocket for a hot/cold therapeutic gel pack, and you’ve got one of the most comfortable maternity support bands ever invented.
We don’t recommend wearing the Upsie Belly® maternity support band in the postpartum period, as it’s specifically designed to help provide support during pregnancy. This support is focused on lifting your belly from below; post-delivery, your body needs a much higher level of support to help you recover and return to your normal routine. We recommend wearing belly wraps specifically designed for postpartum, since they offer that higher level of support to alleviate the discomforts of postpartum recovery.
There’s no hidden secret when it comes to how to wear Upsie Belly® support bands. Simply make sure you’ve positioned the widest section of the band against your lower back, with the lowest edge just touching the top of your tailbone so your lower back is covered. Next, pull the two smaller ends toward the center of your body and fasten them together just underneath your belly. The band should feel snug enough to support you, but not super tight or uncomfortable.
Definitely. The Upsie Belly® Band redistributes the weight of your belly, which helps to ease the strain on your back and bring much-needed relief.
If you’re wearing your Upsie Belly® Support Band against your skin, it’s best to wear looser-fitting tops that can flow over the band and not bunch up against it. If you’d like to hide your support band, then it’s also a good idea to try matching your clothing to the color of your band. The Belly Bandit Upsie Belly® black large support band is great for wearing with dark clothing, but the cream version may be a better choice if you’re pregnant during the summer and wearing light-colored tops and blouses.
If you’re wearing your support band over your clothes, then it’s best to wear snug-fitting tops and pants that are less likely to slide or bunch up uncomfortably underneath your band as you move around throughout the day.
No. The Upsie Belly® support band is intended to provide extra support during pregnancy, and is not designed to provide compression. Remember: You should never wear anything that compresses your belly while pregnant. If you’d like some maternity-specific compression items to help with pregnancy swelling, consider trying our Compression Ankle Socks or Belly Bandit® Maternity Compression Tights.
You can easily use our Upsie Belly® size calculator to find the perfect size for you! Start by measuring your belly at the widest point (usually level with your belly button). Navigate to the Upsie Belly® size calculator and enter the week you’re at in your pregnancy and your belly measurement. Then, just sit back and let our calculator do all the work to find the perfect size for you!
The Upsie Belly® is available in sizes small, medium, large, and extra-large. We currently do not offer Upsie Belly® maternity bands in plus size.
The best way to wash your Belly Bandit Upsie Belly® is to hand wash it in cold water, then lay it flat to dry. Do not bleach or iron your Upsie Belly® Support Band.
Bought it for my daughter, support shorts are great (she uses them all the time)
Band is good (she uses it for working around the house or when she needs to be on her feet for long periods of time).
This is a great support belt for a pregnant belly. It has a wide back band and is made of one piece, unlike many other bands. The wide back supports your back well and has a hot cold pack if you need that that has a slot to slip it in.
It's a great product & I can surprisingly really feel a difference. I was a little worried especially because of the price, that it would end up being a waste of money if it didn't work. This is my 3rd pregnancy so while I wanted it with my 2nd, I couldn't afford it & the timing of the pregnancy didn't have any sales to make it cheaper, so I had to go with a $15 pregnancy belt. While it was scratchy some & didnt quite fit, I had bought a velcro piece extender for it & it got the job done somewhat. This 3rd pregnancy that belt didn't work for comfort at all. So since this is the last planned one & it didn't work to where I was crying from pain, my husband said we'd just get this one. It helps so much & I can actually get some of the house cleaned with it. I am a SAHM so a concern was that some reviews said people couldnt sit in them, etc. I just end up adjusting it some & I am able to still wear it. The only thing I would say that I used the sizing chart, but between knowing how fast my belly poppedout with this one & knowing my previous pregnancies I went with a size up than the chart said. To play it safe though because there is return free, I first ordered the LG & the XL off prime in cream & black because I read reviews that the cream didnt really stretch, so I tested that as the bigger one. I figd because of prime I could return it w/o the return fee, but come back here because of the sale. I'm glad I went with my gut tho, even though the sizing chart said LG, the size I went with was the XL cream. I wanted the cream, I was just concerned because of the reviews, but I am happy with my purchase. Definitely glad I did it the way I did.
I thought for sure this would be amazing given that it's pretty expensive. It's not a terrible item but not worth the cost at all. I bought an identical band from Amazon for $20 and it did the same exact thing.
I love this band. I’m at 30 weeks and I can’t explain it, but it makes me feel less heavy in the belly and supported. I don’t wear all day or all the time b/c I also have a belly band I bought on clearance, but I wear this one around the usually. I’ve not really needed the cooling/heating pad, but glad to have it for when I do. Hot Tip: make a heating pad for legs! The cramps keep me up at night
