Very helpful in those first weeks pp. At 5’6” and 145lb pp I found that I needed the extender. I wouldn’t have been able to use the belly bandit without it.

A must have

This is really a must have even if you are certain on the size of your wrap. It will extend the life of your wrap. I have been wearing mine for nearly 10 months (for the first 6-8 weeks nearly all the time and then intermittently since then for back issues). I stopped "needing" the extended length within a week or two but kept using it as I believe it has extended the life of the Velcro and the wrap. Also, the two sections with Velcro that cross over the front of the wrap stay in one place all the time when you are using this so they don't snag on each other.

Gets the job done
