I now own the belly shield and the BFF Wrap. I absolutely love that the belly shield keeps my wrap protected from my lotions AND gives me an added layer of compression comfort. I wear the belly shield all day even when I’m not wearing my wrap just for a slight compressed feeling!
This product was recommended to me and I’m so glad I purchased it. Makes the wrap more comfortable to wear and protects the wrap from any lotions or creams you may use.
I love the belly shield! I purchased this with my first pregnancy in 2016 and have since used it for three postpartum periods. As the description says there is no compression but it still provides a very gentle support that is comfortable enough to wear all the time. I use it solo immediately after giving birth and add my wrap later when I’m settled.
A shield that holds in moisture and can help with chafing and itching for a real support / binding band? Sounds great! Except the geniuses at Belly Bandit made this one have about 50 eye and hook enclosures in order to put on. What new mom in her postpartum haze has the time to think about this or suit up for 20 min every single time she wants to use it? Ridiculous and not worth the money. Just use a 100% cotton burp cloth from your baby’s stockpile instead.
These belly shields are amazing! They help keep my moisturizer on my belly and prevents it from soaking into the belly wrap. I recommend getting a couple since you'll most likely wash them often, they get oily fast.
