SIZE NOTE: It’s hard to predict how your belly will change after birth, especially so early in your pregnancy. Our sizing estimate is based on female averages. We recommend adding an extender to your order to make sure you get the best fit.

If you’re Belly Bandit Belly Wrap is 1-3” shy of closing, don’t exchange it for a larger size, wait a day or two and try again. Here’s another tip, lying down on your bed with the Belly Wrap under you to fasten the Velcro allows for a better trip.
Yes, creases are normal. The Belly Wrap conforms to your body, making it easier for you to move comfortably and perform your daily activities. Much like a bandage, the appearance of your wrap will change due to normal wear, so you can expect to see creases and waviness. This will not affect the job of your wrap!
For best results, we recommend wearing your Belly Wrap immediately postpartum 24/7 (taking it off to shower) for a minimum 6-10 weeks. Of course, wear-time ultimately depends on your personal comfort level. Some women wear the wrap all day and night while others for only a few hours at a time. The goal is to get the support you need and to aid in recovery, so do what feels right for you!
*Postpartum swelling can make sizing your Belly Wrap challenging. Our Belly Wrap Extenders gives you up to 9 inches of additional adjustability, so you don’t have to worry about purchasing a Wrap that’s too small or just shy of closing!

Over a decade ago, we introduced our doctor-recommended Belly Bandit® Belly Wraps to help slim and support your belly, waist and hips post-delivery. We were inspired by the centuries-old tradition of postpartum belly binding and modernized this age-old practice for today's moms
Our world famous Belly Wraps are designed to help you look and feel your absolute best after delivery – because when you deliver, so do we!
*Belly Bandit® is the premiere FDA Registered Medical Device brand in Maternity Support Products and Postpartum Belly Wraps and Corsets.
The International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics has found that abdominal binders can be an effective, simple, non‐pharmacological option of relieving pain and distress after a Cesarean delivery.
Our Power Compress Core™ applies targeted compression, which may help:
The ideal fit for your Belly Bandit® Belly Wrap is a snug one, with constant pressure on the belly - but without any impact on breathing or circulation. (If discomfort occurs, remove the wrap and consult your healthcare provider.)
Note: The first time you wear your wrap, it may barely close. That's ok. You want to have the length of the Velcro® closure available so you can keep tightening your wrap as you recover and size down.
WHEN TO WEAR
We recommend wearing your Belly Wrap post-delivery as soon as your comfortable, for a minimum of 6-10 weeks. However, many women find wrapping to be effective long after this initial period. If you’re breastfeeding, the hormone relaxin may stay in your system longer, giving you even more time to benefit from postpartum compression. Some cultures bind up to a year post-delivery!
For both c-section and vaginal deliveries please check with your healthcare provider for guidance based on your individual delivery especially if you’re experiencing any post-delivery or postpartum issues.
If you have any concerns about being “too late” for the Belly Bandit Belly Wrap, we encourage you to check out our Mother Tucker® Shapewear Collection. The Mother Tucker line features our Belly Bandit compression technology in tanks, leggings, shorts, and our popular Mother Tucker Corset.

OUR BEST SELLER
A post pregnancy belly wrap is designed to offer much-needed support through compression technology. Our Original Belly Wrap features a unique Power Compress Core™ that applies 360 degrees of targeted compression around your belly, waist, and hips to keep you feeling tucked in and secure.
After birth, your body is in a state of healing and recovery. A postpartum belly wrap like the Original Belly Wrap can aid in your recovery by promoting mobility, easing discomfort, and providing core muscle support. With the Original Belly Wrap, you can get back to feeling like yourself again in no time. The Original Belly Wrap can also provide support while exercising and help with strengthening muscles weakened during pregnancy, especially for those experiencing diastasis recti, an abdominal separation that commonly affects pregnant women.
We recommend starting to wear a post pregnancy belly wrap as soon as you feel comfortable after giving birth, and wearing it for a period of at least six to 10 weeks. Many women continue wearing the Original Belly Wrap for longer, especially as a breastfeeding posture support. Be sure to consult with your care provider if you have any questions about wearing a belly wrap.
A postpartum belly wrap can be worn all day and night, as long as you’re not experiencing discomfort. The goal is to feel snug and secure, without cutting off circulation or making it difficult to breathe. Remove your belly wrap to shower, and whenever you feel like taking a break.
Yes! Belly binding is a centuries-old tradition that is practiced all over the world. A postpartum belly wrap provides sustained, targeted compression to support your recovery and help you look and feel your best after delivery.
A post pregnancy belly wrap can help slim and shape your tummy during postpartum recovery; it is not intended as a weight-loss tool. The size of your postpartum belly will ultimately depend on a variety of factors, including diet, exercise, and more. And remember: It can take six to 10 weeks for your uterus to contract back to its pre-pregnancy size, so be patient!
Yes. In fact, we recommend wearing it 24/7 (except when showering) for at least the first six weeks after delivery. If you experience any discomfort or have any questions about belly wrapping, consult with your doctor.
Yes! According to the International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics, using a post pregnancy belly wrap after a C-section delivery can be a simple, non-pharmacological option for pain relief.
Other great Belly Wraps for C-section recovery include the Luxe Belly Wrap, the ultra-soft Viscose from Bamboo Belly Wrap, and the B.F.F. Belly Wrap.
No. Like any scar, stretch marks are permanent, though they can fade naturally over time. However, by using a Belly Shield under the Original Belly Wrap, you can keep your skin hydrated, which can help relieve redness and itchiness.
We recommend measuring your belly during your eighth month of pregnancy and using the size guide on our website to find your recommended size. Keep in mind that everyone’s body recovers differently after birth, which can make it a challenge to predict your size ahead of time. If your belly wrap is just shy of closing after delivery, try again in a day or two! The Original Belly Wrap also features up to 9 inches of adjustability, making it easy to size down as you progress in your recovery. Note: If you are able to close your new, unworn postpartum belly wrap past the Velcro closure, it is too big and will need to be exchanged for a smaller size.
I bought this so it would help me postpartum but the material is so itchy and doesn’t fit with a shirt under also the material folds in and makes it dig into your skin.
Hi Alejandra: Thank you for your feedback, with the Original Belly Wrap we recommend (if you have sensitive skin) that you may want to grab a belly shield. You can also wear a tank underneath if you prefer. If you are looking for something that's a bit softer the bamboo, bff or luxe are all higher end materials.
The top and bottom ribbing are too hard and can irritate the skin so you need an undergarment to protect your skin.
According to the size guide, I need a medium. I’m 5’6” 145lb and 34 weeks. The medium does not close. It just about an inch too small around my belly. Thankfully I bought an extender. I’m sure it will fit postpartum better. Not used to the compression on my belly, but helps with back pain.
I ordered the original belly bandit to wear after an open abdominal surgery. It was worked perfectly and I like it better than the surgical abdominal binders. I feel it’s more comfortable.
I wish I would have spent the money on the luxe. This one is flimsy and doesn’t hold its shape. But it does the job at the beginning. Will need to upgrade soon.
