Why do I need the Belly Bandit Belly Wrap Extender?

Often, the first few days (and even weeks) after delivery come with a significant amount of swelling due to a slowly shrinking uterus, water retention, hormone imbalance, and even constipation. This can make your Luxe Belly Wrap difficult to close—even if it fits you perfectly later on in your postpartum journey! The Luxe Belly Wrap Extender provides an extra level of comfort and flexibility, so you know your wrap will fit no matter what.

Just make sure your wrap still fits snugly, in order to provide the proper level of postpartum compression. The belly wrap extender should not be used as a way to make your Postpartum Luxe Belly Wrap fit loosely.

What product(s) should I use this extender with?

Because of the length and size of this product, the Luxe Belly Wrap Extender pairs exclusively with our Luxe Belly Wrap. For other Belly Bandit belly wraps like the Original, Viscose from Bamboo and B.F.F., use our standard Belly Wrap Extender.

Can I use this belly wrap extender postpartum?

Of course! This belly wrap extender is designed for postpartum use. Pair the Luxe Belly Wrap Extender with your Postpartum Luxe Belly Wrap for extra sizing flexibility as long as you need it. (As a reminder, our postpartum belly wraps and extenders should not be used during pregnancy.)

Will I still get the benefit of compression by using this extender?

Absolutely. We designed this belly wrap extender to work seamlessly with your Postpartum Luxe Belly Wrap without stretching the fabric or compromising compression. Because it’s designed to fit your wrap perfectly, there’s also no need to worry about bunching or folding while using the Luxe Belly Wrap Extender.

What colors is this belly wrap extender available in?

The Luxe Belly Wrap Extender is available in Black and Natural (white, with a beige color along the edges). These colors are designed to match the Black and Almond shades of our Postpartum Luxe Belly Wrap.

Will using this extender make my belly wrap last longer?

Needed it after all

I didn't think I would need it but 2 days post-partum I had to panic-buy it when my wrap didn't close. It does the job and also feels nice to cover the inside part of any exposed velcro.

Definitely a must for the first 1-2 weeks with wrap

I used the measurement guide which recommended a size small wrap and an extender. I bought both as instructed and good thing as I definitely would not have been able to use the wrap initially without the extender. I was able to remove the extender after the first week.

Size in between

I measured in between sizes and the extender was a life saver! I didn’t want to order two sizes and have the hassle of returning one. This means I have flexibility until I get down to not needed it!

So glad I got this vs ordering a new size!

I am really glad I purchased this before upping my size. I have already lost some inches and the bigger size would eventually be too big. What is a bummer is that it only comes in the regular size, not the petite. I have a short torso so this is kind of big on me, but its better than nothing!

Luxe wrap extender

This extender is great immediately post partum. It allowed the extra room I needed until swelling comes down. I’m 3.5 weeks post partum and I’m still using it. It prevented me from having to buy 2 sizes of the luxe wrap. Highly recommend!
