I had a c section two weeks ago and was wearing the binder the hospital gave me with little to no relief. I have a bit of a pooch and the area was getting super irritated and hurt so badly no matter what I did. I tried gauze and compression leggings to no avail. I was so worried that these wouldn't work but I finally bit the bullet and purchased these and I am so comfortable. It had given me such incredible compression and have lifted me in all the right places. My incision site isn't rubbing anymore and I finally feel the relief I've been waiting two weeks for. I am definitely going to be buying another pair and can't recommend these enough!!!
Started wearing these support undies 3 days after my c-section and haven't really taken it off since. This has helped me so much in my recovery. I was wearing the abdominal binder the hospital gave me but it didn't give me the support I needed where I needed it, which is closer to where my surgical site is (low bikini line). This supports that area without compressing too hard, and then in the abdominal area and low back it has little bars that improve your posture. Before putting these on I was walking like a hunchback, but now I can actually walk like a normal human again. Tips: I bought one size higher than I was before pregnancy which was perfect. The first time I put it on I had to lie down in order to close all the hook and eye clasps. After a couple times of needing to do that I was finally able to close it without needing to lie down. Yes, going to the bathroom takes slightly longer now because I have to close up all the clasps but you get pretty good at it pretty quickly.
I love mine!!! It feels so comfortable and really gives me the support I need. I’ve worn it all day and didn’t feel bothered by it once.
I Had a repeat C-section 3 weeks ago and originally ordered a medium and a small along with the original belly wrap. The belly wrap ended up being to stiff for the first days and weeks postpartum and these were a lifesaver. I unfortunately only used the mediums for a little over a week before I lost enough weight to fit into the small but I would do it all again for the compression and support. I just ordered 2 more smalls because I’m living in the pair I own. They are supportive but still allow you to get up and sit down throughout the day. If you don’t want to buy more than 2 pair (they’re really expensive :( ) I recommend wearing maternity underwear or a seamless pair underneath with whatever you use for bleeding and don’t stick any pads directly into these underwear because they will pull the threads in the crotch. Can’t say enough good things about these underwear. I wish I had had them for my first C-section. The only thing I will say is that I don’t have a big but butt but these do leave a serious line. I think it’s An unavoidable Trade off for compression and totally worth it.
