Viscose from Bamboo Belly Wrap
Viscose from Bamboo Belly Wrap
Over a decade ago, we introduced our doctor-recommended Belly Bandit® Belly Wraps to help slim and your support your belly, waist and hips post-delivery. We were inspired by the centuries-old tradition of postpartum belly binding and modernized this age-old practice for today's moms.
Our world famous Belly Wraps are designed to help you look and feel your absolute best after delivery – because when you deliver, so do we!
*Belly Bandit® is the premiere FDA Registered Medical Device brand in Maternity Support Products and Postpartum Belly Wraps and Corsets.
Our Power Compress Core™ applies targeted compression, which may help:
- Slim and support your belly, waist, and hips
- Strengthen core muscles weakened during pregnancy (especially helpful if you have an abdominal separation, also called diastasis recti)
- Promote mobility, helping you get back to your daily activities more quickly
- Ease back pain
- Provide comfort after C-section
- Encourage better posture, especially important during breastfeeding
- Offer support while exercising
Soft viscose from bamboo is ultra-comfortable on your skin, and gentle on a recovering C-section incision
- Covered in ultra-soft viscose from bamboo fabric
- Features our exclusive, latex-free Power Compress Core™
- Up to 9" of adjustability so you can continue to tighten the wrap as you size down
The ideal fit for your Belly Bandit® Belly Wrap is a snug one, with constant pressure on the belly - but without any impact on breathing or circulation (If discomfort occurs, remove the wrap and consult your healthcare provider.)
Note: The first time you wear your wrap, it may barely close. That's ok. You want to have the length of the Velcro® closure available so you can keep tightening your wrap as you recover and size down.
WHEN TO WEAR
We recommend wearing your Belly Wrap immediately post-delivery, for a minimum of 6-10 weeks. However, many women find wrapping to be effective long after this initial period. If you're breastfeeding, the hormone relaxin may stay in your system longer, giving you even more time to benefit from postpartum compression. Some cultures bind up to a year post delivery!
If you have any concerns about being "too late" for the Belly Bandit Belly Wrap, we encourage you to check out our Mother Tucker® Shapewear Collection. The Mother Tucker line features compression tanks, leggings, shorts, and our popular Mother Tucker Corset.

Finding Your Size
Please note, every “body” is different and determining your postpartum Belly Wrap size is not an exact science. Measure around your belly at the largest part, which is usually around the belly button. In the sizing calculator, select your week of pregnancy and belly measurement. The calculator will generate a recommended size.
I had great results using the viscose. The first pic is 35 weeks and the other 2 are exactly 1 week post partum.
Went off the sizing chart and it was still too small and too short that it rolls. Switched back to the one the hospital gave me.
I have tried a lot of binders due to a hernia that I have, and this is by far the softest version of a binder I have been able to find. The material is soft, but durable. The velcro still works even after a year. Compression is good, definitely as good or better than other binders on the market. I think the material makes this belly wrap much more comfortable to wear than other types.
I wanted to share my experience! The first photo is me at 40 weeks pregnant impatiently waiting on my son to get here. The second photo was taken 2 weeks after he was born! I had a c-section and my doctor put a binder on me immediately. I am so thankful she did that! Unfortunately it was an itchy and cheaply made one, so 3 days later when I got home from the hospital I switched out to the belly bandit bamboo girdle. I lived in that girdle for the first month of my son's life! I wore it about half of the time for the 2nd month. I felt so weak after giving birth, but with the girdle helped me feel so much stronger. I really think the compression helped me heal faster from the surgery too! Now I'm 4 months postpartum and I can wear my prepregnancy size 6 jeans! I feel like I owe my current waist to belly bandit! I have been recommending it to all of my friends, and I will definitely use it again if I have another baby! Thank you for making such a wonderful product!!
