*Belly Bandit® is the premiere FDA Registered Medical Device brand in Maternity Support Products and Postpartum Belly Wraps and Corsets.
The V- Sling is designed to support your belly and uterine wall, which may help with:
During pregnancy, an increase in pelvic and vaginal pressure along with added blood flow to the pelvic region can put extra strain on your uterine wall. This can result in some pretty uncomfortable side effects, like vulvar varicosities and uterine prolapse. That’s where the Belly Bandit® V-sling comes in. Designed to address severe pelvic pain, this pelvic band supports your belly and uterine wall, lessening the overall pressure and giving you relief in the area you need it most.
With a pelvic support band, certain pregnancy pains become much more manageable. This band is ideal for women who are experiencing intense pelvic pain—sometimes referred to as “lightning crotch”—or vaginal pressure. If you’re experiencing pelvic girdle pain, uterine prolapse, inguinal or femoral hernias, vaginal or vulvar varicosities, or just generally intense pressure and heaviness in your pelvic region, wearing a V-Sling may help ease your discomfort.
The Belly Bandit® V-Sling uses flexible, lightweight straps made of high-quality neoprene to apply gentle pressure to your pelvic area, giving your uterine wall additional support and relieving feelings of discomfort and pressure. The straps criss-cross between the legs and connect to a wider band that sits low across the hips, just below the belly. This system helps the straps apply pressure to the pelvic region and also distributes the weight of your belly, relieving strained muscles that are struggling to support it effectively. Together, both parts of the V-Sling provide critical support to help relieve pelvic pain and other symptoms associated with it.
Yes! In fact, pregnancy bands for pelvic pain and support are often recommended by medical professionals as a safe, non-pharmacological treatment for pelvic pain associated with pregnancy. Of course, we always recommend consulting with your physician before trying something new, as they may have specific directions or recommendations for you based on your individual needs and situation.
It may! Though the V-Sling’s primary purpose is as a pelvic support band, pregnancy pains are often interconnected, so it wouldn’t be unusual at all for you to get some relief by wearing the V-Sling. If you’re looking for a support band to help specifically with back pain, check out our Upsie Belly® Pregnancy Support Band.
When to start wearing the V-Sling pelvic support band is completely up to you. Some women like to wear it early on in pregnancy to help prevent pelvic pain, while others prefer to wait and see if they will experience any discomfort at all. Be sure to discuss any pelvic pain with your physician before starting to wear the V-Sling.
Absolutely! You can wear the V-Sling day or night for extra pelvic support.
When the straps are positioned correctly, it should be very comfortable. The Belly Bandit® V-Sling is lightweight and flexible with easily adjustable straps to provide maximum comfort and support.
Vulvar varicosities are caused by an increased flow of blood to your lower body that then pools in your pelvic region rather than moving back up towards your heart. The Belly Bandit® V-Sling provides gentle pressure and increased support in your pelvic area to encourage blood circulation, which can sometimes help treat vulvar varicosities.
The best way to wash your V-Sling pelvic support band and straps is by hand. If you decide to machine wash them, make sure you use cold water. Afterwards, lay the band and straps flat to dry. Do not use bleach or iron your V-Sling.
This is my second time dealing with pubic symphysis during pregnancy and the first time trying this v-sling band and it has changed my pregnancy. I can wear it one day and not have to wear it for a week because it helps so much! Thank you so much for this product, it has given me relief from so much pain!
Omg this band has been a lifesaver! Like for real! I wear it while I work and haven’t had much pain at all ever since! Pain started at 16 weeks, and I’m now 22, been wearing it for about 3. I don’t have to wear it all the time just while I work and it’s been helping. So grateful!
I think it's helped but to be honest it feels better not wearing it now, maybe it helped strengthen those muscles and that's why it feels better without it now but who knows - I have very localized pain on the left side of my pubic bone so maybe if I had less localized pain it would be more helpful - overall don't regret the purchase at all though
I started having sharp pains in the center of my pubic bone around 7 months, and learned I had SPD. I immediately ordered this. This definitely helps keep things together if I’m going to be on my feet. I wear it low around my pelvis for spd pain, but also sometimes wear it under my belly for support. I wear it with or without the straps under the crotch. Feels good to rotate with and without straps. It’s soft and comfy. You have to strap it very carefully to make sure it doesn’t grab your other fabrics. But easy to wear and really helpful for me. I use it only occasionally but when I do need it, it saves me so much pain. My friend was cracking up taking these pics of me while getting ready for a party. Needless to say the outfit was changed before anyone came over 😂 In the pics is how I wear it when I’m getting spd pain, but wearing it above hips and under belly is also super helpful to keep your belly feeling light and spine strong.
I only wish I had found this sooner, what a major help! I started suffering from severe pelvic pain at just 22 weeks with my 2nd pregnancy and was absolutely miserable whether I was walking or even laying down. I had first found the BB Basics support belt at Target, which didn't do much for the pelvic pain as it is meant for back pain. Luckily I found the v-sling and I was pain-free after just a few days of wearing it! I wore it religiously for a week and have had to wear it very little since, now at 30 weeks. I am looking forward to using more BB products, especially the postpartum luxe belly wrap this time around.
