Viscose from Bamboo Belly Wrap
Viscose from Bamboo Belly Wrap
Over a decade ago, we introduced our doctor-recommended Belly Bandit® Belly Wraps to help slim and your support your belly, waist and hips post-delivery. We were inspired by the centuries-old tradition of postpartum belly binding and modernized this age-old practice for today's moms.
Our world famous Belly Wraps are designed to help you look and feel your absolute best after delivery – because when you deliver, so do we!
*Belly Bandit® is the premiere FDA Registered Medical Device brand in Maternity Support Products and Postpartum Belly Wraps and Corsets.
Our Power Compress Core™ applies targeted compression, which may help:
- Slim and support your belly, waist, and hips
- Strengthen core muscles weakened during pregnancy (especially helpful if you have an abdominal separation, also called diastasis recti)
- Promote mobility, helping you get back to your daily activities more quickly
- Ease back pain
- Provide comfort after C-section
- Encourage better posture, especially important during breastfeeding
- Offer support while exercising
Soft viscose from bamboo is ultra-comfortable on your skin, and gentle on a recovering C-section incision
- Covered in ultra-soft viscose from bamboo fabric
- Features our exclusive, latex-free Power Compress Core™
- Up to 9" of adjustability so you can continue to tighten the wrap as you size down
The ideal fit for your Belly Bandit® Belly Wrap is a snug one, with constant pressure on the belly - but without any impact on breathing or circulation (If discomfort occurs, remove the wrap and consult your healthcare provider.)
Note: The first time you wear your wrap, it may barely close. That's ok. You want to have the length of the Velcro® closure available so you can keep tightening your wrap as you recover and size down.
WHEN TO WEAR
We recommend wearing your Belly Wrap immediately post-delivery, for a minimum of 6-10 weeks. However, many women find wrapping to be effective long after this initial period. If you're breastfeeding, the hormone relaxin may stay in your system longer, giving you even more time to benefit from postpartum compression. Some cultures bind up to a year post delivery!
If you have any concerns about being "too late" for the Belly Bandit Belly Wrap, we encourage you to check out our Mother Tucker® Shapewear Collection. The Mother Tucker line features compression tanks, leggings, shorts, and our popular Mother Tucker Corset.

Finding Your Size
Please note, every “body” is different and determining your postpartum Belly Wrap size is not an exact science. Measure around your belly at the largest part, which is usually around the belly button. In the sizing calculator, select your week of pregnancy and belly measurement. The calculator will generate a recommended size.
This was the most effective wrap I tried when it comes to holding everything in after delivery and helping my uterus shrink back down. However, I only wore it at night because it was a little too long for comfortable daytime wear (I'm 5'2"), especially once it developed creases that cut into my sides when I bent over. I'd use it again because it did work well, but I wish it was a couple inches shorter!
I’ve been wearing this for three weeks now and my belly has gone down considerably. The material is soft and the size I chose based on the size chart provided was perfect ( size S. Pre-pregnancy I was a dress size 6). However, after the first or second day the wrap developed a crease which I’ve read is normal and expected, but the problem is it’s extremely uncomfortable to wear now. The crease cuts into my side and if I wear it for more than an hour or two I swear it’s bruising me. It’s painful long after I remove it. Worse, if you are going to be sitting a lot (probably likely if you’ve just had a baby) it creases more and rides up. I can tolerate the wrap if I standing and pulling it down periodically, but sitting is just not comfy.
love the material and breathable fabric of this belly band. One thing that was disappointing is the overall height of the band, and that it easily rolled over onto itself, making it hard to conceal under clothing.
This has been an incredible recovery tool and I just wish I’d known about it with my previous pregnancies! I started wearing it about 5 days after delivery and I’m not 6wks pp. It really works to help support and retract the tummy. I know I have muscle separation from previous pregnancies (largest baby was 9lbs 2oz & I’m only 5’4”. (No c-sections.) It helps me stand taller and more supported all the way around. I do kegels while wearing it to help strengthen those muscles too. Highly recommend!! It’s soft and breathable and doesn’t loosen or undo until you you take it off.
