How should your Belly Wrap fit?

If you’re Belly Bandit Belly Wrap is 1-3” shy of closing, don’t exchange it for a larger size, wait a day or two and try again. Here’s another tip, lying down on your bed with the Belly Wrap under you to fasten the Velcro allows for a better trip.

Wrinkles & Crinkles are Normal!

Yes, creases are normal. The Belly Wrap conforms to your body, making it easier for you to move comfortably and perform your daily activities. Much like a bandage, the appearance of your wrap will change due to normal wear, so you can expect to see creases and waviness. This will not affect the job of your wrap!

How often should you wear your Belly Wrap?

For best results, we recommend wearing your Belly Wrap immediately postpartum 24/7 (taking it off to shower) for a minimum 6-10 weeks. Of course, wear-time ultimately depends on your personal comfort level. Some women wear the wrap all day and night while others for only a few hours at a time. The goal is to get the support you need and to aid in recovery, so do what feels right for you!

*Postpartum swelling can make sizing your Belly Wrap challenging. Our Belly Wrap Extenders gives you up to 9 inches of additional adjustability, so you don’t have to worry about purchasing a Wrap that’s too small or just shy of closing!

How To Wear

The ideal fit for your Belly Bandit® Belly Wrap is a snug one, with constant pressure on the belly - but without any impact on breathing or circulation (If discomfort occurs, remove the wrap and consult your healthcare provider.)

Note: The first time you wear your wrap, it may barely close. That's ok. You want to have the length of the Velcro® closure available so you can keep tightening your wrap as you recover and size down.

WHEN TO WEAR

We recommend wearing your Belly Wrap post-delivery as soon as your comfortable, for a minimum of 6-10 weeks. However, many women find wrapping to be effective long after this initial period. If you're breastfeeding, the hormone relaxin may stay in your system longer, giving you even more time to benefit from postpartum compression. Some cultures bind up to a year post-delivery!

For both c-section and vaginal deliveries please check with your healthcare provider for guidance based on your individual delivery especially if you’re experiencing any post-delivery or postpartum issues.

Bamboo Viscose wrap vs. Original Belly Bandit Wrap - what is the difference?

The biggest difference between the Original Belly Wrap and the Viscose from Bamboo Belly Wrap is in the fabrication. Both wraps are 9” tall and feature targeted compression technology via Power Compress Core® material; while the Original Belly Wrap is uncovered, the Viscose from Bamboo Belly Wrap is covered with a layer of ultra-soft viscose made from bamboo. This material is hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, and smooth as butter, so moms with sensitive skin or C-section incisions can enjoy the benefits of our Belly Wrap technology without the fear of increased irritation.

Is the Bamboo Belly Band soft and comfortable to wear?

You bet! In fact, it’s our softest belly wrap. The viscose from bamboo fabric is gentle on recovering skin, while the targeted compression helps you feel more secure and supported throughout the day.

When can I start wearing the Bamboo Belly Band?

You should start wearing your viscose from bamboo belly band as soon as possible post-delivery. Remember, it should feel snug, but not uncomfortable. We recommend wearing your bamboo belly band 24/7 (or for as long as it’s comfortable) for a minimum of six to 10 weeks, but feel free to wear it longer if you’d like. Some women find it beneficial to continue wearing their bamboo belly band for up to a year post-delivery!

Is the Bamboo Belly Band adjustable?

Yes! The postpartum bamboo belly wrap has up to 9 inches of adjustability so you can continue to tighten it and keep the compression levels steady as you size down.

Will the Bamboo Belly Wrap help me lose weight?

The Viscose from Bamboo Belly Wrap is not intended to help with weight loss. However, if worn during postpartum recovery, it can help slim and support your belly, waist, and hips.

Does the Belly Bandit Bamboo Wrap provide back support?

The Power Compress Core® is designed to encourage better posture and help support weakened muscles in your core and lower back, which can help ease back pain.

How do I choose the right size?

You can easily find your wrap size by using our online calculator. To start, you’ll need to know the measurements for the largest part of your belly; this is usually around the belly button area. Simply enter this number into the belly wrap size calculator and it will tell you which size is best suited for you!

It’s ok

I found it a little hard to put on straight and wear without it sliding. Once you sit down it slides up. Can’t nurse wearing it and because it’s just one panel you have to make sure you pull it from center and hope it’s aligning with the other side.

Too late for me to return so I’ll keep it but next time I’ll probably try another brand

It works!

I started using the wrap 3 days postpartum, and noticed results within a week (e.g., no back pain and my navel, stomach, and waist were smaller). It’s comfortable (I wear it for most of the day) and supportive. I’ve tried other brands’ wraps but this one is the best!

Lifesaver after hysterectomy!

This belly bandit has been a lifesaver after a robotic hysterectomy! Comfortable and provides much needed support.

Not your usual user.

I am a male who had exploratory surgery several years ago and developed abdominal hernias, from sternum to navel. My daughter and son-in-law own a store in Nova Scotia, Canada, and she recommended Belly Bandit. I have used it for a year now and have had great relief from the support it gives. I wear it almost every day for the support and comfort it affords. Sorry to intrude ladies, but my Dr. and Surgeon friend approve I use it. I need to order another as the Velcro is weakening.

Uncomfortable

Got the wrap and the extender. Unfortunately, it is too uncomfortable to wear for longer than a couple hours. Sitting in it is very uncomfortable it doesn't stay in place well and rides up. Pretty disappointed overall.
