Viscose from Bamboo Belly Wrap
Viscose from Bamboo Belly Wrap
Over a decade ago, we introduced our doctor-recommended Belly Bandit® Belly Wraps to help slim and your support your belly, waist and hips post-delivery. We were inspired by the centuries-old tradition of postpartum belly binding and modernized this age-old practice for today's moms.
Our world famous Belly Wraps are designed to help you look and feel your absolute best after delivery – because when you deliver, so do we!
*Belly Bandit® is the premiere FDA Registered Medical Device brand in Maternity Support Products and Postpartum Belly Wraps and Corsets.
Our Power Compress Core™ applies targeted compression, which may help:
- Slim and support your belly, waist, and hips
- Strengthen core muscles weakened during pregnancy (especially helpful if you have an abdominal separation, also called diastasis recti)
- Promote mobility, helping you get back to your daily activities more quickly
- Ease back pain
- Provide comfort after C-section
- Encourage better posture, especially important during breastfeeding
- Offer support while exercising
Soft viscose from bamboo is ultra-comfortable on your skin, and gentle on a recovering C-section incision
- Covered in ultra-soft viscose from bamboo fabric
- Features our exclusive, latex-free Power Compress Core™
- Up to 9" of adjustability so you can continue to tighten the wrap as you size down
The ideal fit for your Belly Bandit® Belly Wrap is a snug one, with constant pressure on the belly - but without any impact on breathing or circulation (If discomfort occurs, remove the wrap and consult your healthcare provider.)
Note: The first time you wear your wrap, it may barely close. That's ok. You want to have the length of the Velcro® closure available so you can keep tightening your wrap as you recover and size down.
WHEN TO WEAR
We recommend wearing your Belly Wrap immediately post-delivery, for a minimum of 6-10 weeks. However, many women find wrapping to be effective long after this initial period. If you're breastfeeding, the hormone relaxin may stay in your system longer, giving you even more time to benefit from postpartum compression. Some cultures bind up to a year post delivery!
If you have any concerns about being "too late" for the Belly Bandit Belly Wrap, we encourage you to check out our Mother Tucker® Shapewear Collection. The Mother Tucker line features compression tanks, leggings, shorts, and our popular Mother Tucker Corset.

Finding Your Size
Please note, every “body” is different and determining your postpartum Belly Wrap size is not an exact science. Measure around your belly at the largest part, which is usually around the belly button. In the sizing calculator, select your week of pregnancy and belly measurement. The calculator will generate a recommended size.
I have been wearing this for a month and can definitely tell it's made a difference (no before/after pics, sorry), but the way I'm shaped has started to cause significant back pain. I have a badonkadonk so it instantly rolls up there, then gets stuck under my back roll (right where your bra hits). This causes a lot of pressure on my back and makes it incredibly uncomfortable and almost painful to wear. It'd be great if it was attached to shorts or something to keep the bottom hem in place...
Unfortunately I am not satisfied with the item. I ordered it with the correct measurements for my postpartum figure and they requested I purchase an extra small. This size is WAY to small for me and is near impossible to wrap, when I successfully do it is so tight and uncomfortable I can only wear it for short periods of time.
Two weeks post c section. I have been wearing it daily. It’s supportive and very comfy.
I wanted to order the wrap around 20 weeks, but I'm glad I waited until 33 weeks. At 33 weeks I used the measuring chart and purchased the Medium Viscose from Bamboo Belly Wrap. My measurements for prepregnacy: 5'5, 138 lbs, size 8 jeans or Medium sized leggings and Shirts/tops I wore a small. At the end of my pregnancy at 37 weeks, I weighed in at 162; I gained a total of 24 lbs. I had a scheduled C-section, I took the wrap to the hospital, but it didn't fit just yet! It took me about a week to finally be able to wrap it around my waist because of the swelling and IV fluids. So far, I like the way it feels, and the support it gives on my back. After having a c-section it's hard to use any of your abs/stomach muscles. This wrap actually gives me a lot of support all the way around; it's just what I need.
I tried this on and keep in mind I have a very long torso, so much so that I have a hard time finding shirts long enough, and the item would ride up and smash my breasts when I would sit down. It also made my back hurt a lot. My tummy went back without it within a couple weeks of birth, so I just sent it back.
