Original Postpartum Belly Wrap
Original Postpartum Belly Wrap
The no-nonsense postpartum belly wrap that started it all.
Over a decade ago, we introduced our doctor-recommended Belly Bandit® Belly Wraps to help slim and support your belly, waist and hips post-delivery. We were inspired by the centuries-old tradition of postpartum belly binding and modernized this age-old practice for today's moms
Our world famous Belly Wraps are designed to help you look and feel your absolute best after delivery – because when you deliver, so do we!
*Belly Bandit® is the premiere FDA Registered Medical Device brand in Maternity Support Products and Postpartum Belly Wraps and Corsets.
Our Power Compress Core™ applies targeted compression, which may help:
- Slim and support your belly, waist, and hips
- Strengthen core muscles weakened during pregnancy (especially helpful if you have an abdominal separation, also called diastasis recti)
- Promote mobility, helping you get back to your daily activities more quickly
- Ease back pain
- Provide comfort after C-section
- Encourage better posture, especially important during breastfeeding
- Offer support while exercising
- Features our exclusive, latex-free Power Compress Core™
- Up to 9" of adjustability so you can continue to tighten the wrap as you size down
The ideal fit for your Belly Bandit® Belly Wrap is a snug one, with constant pressure on the belly - but without any impact on breathing or circulation. (If discomfort occurs, remove the wrap and consult your healthcare provider.)
Note: The first time you wear your wrap, it may barely close. That's ok. You want to have the length of the Velcro® closure available so you can keep tightening your wrap as you recover and size down.
WHEN TO WEAR
We recommend wearing your Belly Wrap immediately post-delivery, for a minimum of 6-10 weeks. However, many women find wrapping to be effective long after this initial period. If you're breastfeeding, the hormone relaxin may stay in your system longer, giving you even more time to benefit from postpartum compression. Some cultures bind up to a year post delivery!
If you have any concerns about being "too late" for the Belly Bandit Belly Wrap, we encourage you to check out our Mother Tucker® Shapewear Collection. The Mother Tucker line features compression tanks, leggings, shorts, and our popular Mother Tucker Corset.

Finding Your Size
Please note, every “body” is different and determining your postpartum Belly Wrap size is not an exact science. Measure around your belly at the largest part, which is usually around the belly button. In the sizing calculator, select your week of pregnancy and belly measurement. The calculator will generate a recommended size.
I'm 5'3" and while I liked the feel of this vs. the one the hospital sent me home with, it was just too tall for my torso. I've been instructed to not cover my c-section incision with the wrap so for me it just didn't fit right. Otherwise I did like the supportiveness of it! I'm going to try the BFF band instead and see if that fits better.
I was very skeptical of all the before and after pictures and amazing reviews, but this is as good as promised. I started with this one and just received the Luxe wrap because my Original became too big. This has truly helped my core feel better after my daughter was born! For reference, I’m 5’1” and was 212 pounds when my daughter was born, and started with a size large. Four weeks post-partum and I’m in a size medium.
I have the belly boost and two in one bandit. I bought the belly boost for back pain and the two in one for SPD pain. Both of them provided the relief I was looking for. I still wear my belly boost when I'm on my feet a long time. I bought an XS in the belly boost, I was 115lb pre pregnancy and 5'2". I'm now 38 weeks and weigh 152lb and it still fits comfortably. The sizing recommendation was spot on for me. I recommend these products for abdomen support and back support.
This is actually the second time I’ve used this belly band and I love it I really have gotten very good results I actually used it back in2015 and I loved it , I had another baby in 2019 and decided to try something else for a belly band and I absolutely regret it !! So I went back to belly bandit with this last baby and just as the first time it’s been really good results for me will really recommend this
This is the 2nd product I have tried to help with the 30 lbs I have gained in 2020 until I can lose it. Unfortunately, it was not helpful because it is too uncomfortable and it causes skin bunching. The only think that will work is losing the weight.
