How To Wear

Our Maternity Compression Tights are designed to be just that, compressive & tight! The relief they provide is ahhh, but actually getting them on can be ahhh-ful! That’s why we suggest the following steps:

1. Legs should be completely dry, remove jewelry, and be sure your nails are filed to avoid snags

2. Reach your hand into the tights and grasp the inside of the heel

3. While holding the heel, turn the tights inside out to leave a pocket for your foot

4. Place your toes in the “foot pocket” and pull up to your heel, making sure your entire foot is comfortably placed before moving up the leg

5. Grab upper layer of fabric near the middle of the foot and   lift it over your foot and ankle

6. Grasp the remaining material with both hands and continue to pull over calf gently

7. Slowly slide the tights over your knees, thighs, hips, and waist.

8. Adjust as necessary, keeping in mind that the ideal fit is when the bottom of the belly seam is pulled up between your legs and rests comfortably in the groin area.

While you may break a sweat trying to get them on, we promise, the relief is worth the effort!

How do Belly Bandit Maternity Compression Tights Work?

Belly Bandit Maternity Compression Tights use medical grade compression technology to apply extra pressure on your legs from thighs to toes. The additional pressure helps support your veins and muscles so blood keeps flowing instead of pooling in one place, which can result in painful swelling and varicose veins. Not only do these tights offer full leg compression, they also have built-in belly and arch support.

Why do I need Belly Bandit Maternity Compression Tights?

Maternity compression tights are a must-have during pregnancy. They support your entire body and help prevent and reduce a variety of pregnancy symptoms like swelling, varicose veins, and even nausea or vertigo. Less discomfort and more relief make compression tights some of the best maternity tights in our book!

When should I start wearing maternity compression tights?

You can start wearing maternity compression tights at any point during your pregnancy. You can start wearing these black maternity tights at any point during your pregnancy. Most women begin wearing them regularly towards the end of their pregnancy since this is when swelling is more common.

Do these maternity tights provide medical grade compression?
Yes! Our maternity tights have 20–30 mmHg gradient compression that starts in your thighs and extends all of the way down to your toes.
Will these compression tights help prevent varicose veins and swelling?

They can. Swelling and varicose veins are both caused by poor circulation resulting in blood collecting in one place. Blood can collect in an entire body part like your feet or even just in one vein. Compression helps keep blood moving so it’s less likely to pool and cause swelling or discomfort.

Can I wear these tights during pregnancy?

Of course! We recommend only wearing them while pregnant. These tights are specifically designed to only compress your legs and include extra maternity features like built-in belly support and a no-roll top for extra comfort.

How comfortable are these maternity compression tights?

We’ll put it this way — once you have them on, you’ll never want to take them off!

How do I know which size I need?

You can reference the Belly Bandit Leggings/Bottoms Size Chart to quickly compare your measurements to find your size.

Is the fabric of these tights breathable?

Our Belly Bandit Maternity Compression Tights are constructed using a spandex-nylon blend that’s both soft and breathable. This fabric blend will easily keep you feeling fresh and comfortable all day long.

Pretty good

I'm 5'10ish, 33" inseam, wearing about 10/12 this pregnancy, third child, 6 months along.

I purchased a large going from the size chart for my 42" hip measurement, and they fit just fine.

I like that these tights fit my feet comfortably as they are size 13, which is an unusual women's foot size. What I do NOT like is that the material bunches behind the knee and is really uncomfortable after several hours. I wore these tights for 8 hours one day, and when I took them off I had a rash behind my knees from the irritation of that bunching material. It hurt for several days after that.

Honestly, everything else is good about them, and I couldn't find a good alternative, so I'm keeping them I guess. I need something to wear for a concert I'm in where I stand off and on for 15 minutes at a time and want to be careful of my blood flow and general well being.

Expensive, but they do the job so I’ll say worth the money

I’m 33 and on pregnancy #4 and this one has given me really bad spider veins on the inside of my left knee that have possibly ruptured and are causing bruising, swelling and pressure in the area when I’m standing. My midwife told me to find compression leggings. After a lot of searching, I was extremely disappointed, and yet not surprised, at the lack of availability for compression leggings for us pregnant ladies. Lots of options for men, athletes and non pregnant women but not us. I’m pretty sick of that to be honest; lack of options and the options we do have are so expensive for something we wear for so short a time and may never need again. Anyways, vent over.

These leggings are great. They are soft and feel nice to wear, tight in all the right places and stretchy around my baby so he isn’t squished and thicker than I was expecting. I was picturing these to be like, pantyhose thin and I was nervous to buy them because hose rip so easy but these are definitely thicker and seem sturdy. I still makes sure I don’t have my rings on when I get dressed though, just in case.

Definitely a work out to get on! But absolutely worth every bit of effort. I have 17 weeks to go yet 😩 I may need my husband to help me closer to the end. I’m looking forward to seeing if/how these help with the water retention I get in my legs and feet in the last couple months.

Love! Need short/tall options.

I’ve been very happy with these, they definitely serve the same purpose as the tights you’d get from a pharmacy.. but a way better price. My OB was so happy to hear about this company so he will be recommending this to all of his patients now. My only thing… I’m about 5’ 2” and they’re a tad long, I ordered a small. The tights bunch behind my knees and I have to hike them up high on my thighs throughout the day to fix them. It would be nice if there were options for different heights.

As expected :)

Just like they said, a pain to put on, so relieving once they are!
Very satisfied with this purchase, exactly what I was looking for.
Makes the aching of my varicose veins go away :)

worth every penny!

I'm on my third pregnancy with varicose veins getting worse every time... I wish I had found these tights years ago! Enough space around the belly, with enough pressure from ankle to thigh to make standing comfortable for extended periods of time. I have bought MANY other products and this is now the only one I recommend. They are only slightly challenging to get on, as they should be to be effective. There is enough room in the toes as well compared to other brands. I'd love if they made a tan version and/or an open toe variety for Summer pregnancies. If you're on the fence: buy now!
